Prior to serving as a litigator in the metropolitan Detroit and Lansing areas for many years, Christian was a founding member of a boutique law firm in Lansing where he concentrated on general commercial litigation for small businesses and handled criminal defense matters. Christian also worked at a water law/riparian firm where he represented agencies in securing wetlands and inland lakes and streams permits from the state, along with litigation. Christian has extensive experience in managing all aspects of litigation, including appellate proceedings.

After earning his undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder, Christian moved to Michigan to pursue his law degree at Wayne State University.

While in law school, he served as a student attorney in the Free Legal Aid Clinic, as an intern in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, and as a court officer with the Michigan Court of Appeals. Christian is licensed in all state and federal courts in Michigan, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Today, Christian primarily focuses on representing municipalities in all courts and in Michigan Tax Tribunal appeals. He also represents clients in court on other matters involving business disputes, real estate cases, and water law/riparian issues.

In his free time, Christian can usually be found in the stands at his children’s sporting events, or on the beaches of West Michigan.
